Parking in Istanbul

Finding parking in Istanbul's historic districts can be a challenge, but the city has made it significantly easier through its ISPARK network — the official municipality parking system. Look for blue ISPARK signs across the city; the app (available on iOS and Android) shows you real-time availability and lets you pay digitally. Rates are affordable, typically 15–30 TL per hour in central districts.

Avoid parking on yellow-curbed areas or in bus lanes — fines are issued quickly and tow trucks operate efficiently. In tourist areas like Sultanahmet, Beyoğlu, and Karaköy, it's often smarter to use a public parking garage and walk to your destination rather than searching for street parking.
